I was shopping recently at my local TJ Maxx store and as I was looking through beauty products in the makeup aisle and I came across this YSL eyeshadow palette. It instantly grabbed my attention because it was YSL and I love the Yves Saint Laurent brand. Also, it is an eyeshadow Couture Colour Clutch and since I love handbags so much and bags are my first love, I couldn't resist it for the simple fact that this eyeshadow palette can be made into a clutch. Yes... it can be transformed and repurposed into a clutch. Who can resist a good evening clutch and a designer like a YSL clutch at that... Too good to be true for only $39.99. Thats how much it sold for at TJ Maxx. 

Originally when this Clutch came out a few years back I believe it sold for about $120. I missed purchasing it originally when it came out... I love makeup so to be able to beat the cost and price really made my wallet feel good. I love catching deals and sales, which is one of the reasons why I love shopping at stores like: Nordstrom Rack, Macys Backstage, Marshalls, Ross, Burlington and TJ Maxx. These stores get high merchandise from luxury designers and can sell them at discounted prices. Well I scored and got lucky and picked up this Couture Colour Clutch Palette Yeux 10 Couleurs 10-Colour Eye Palette. 

The eyeshadow colors are very bold and vibrant and can be worn daily or for an evening out. In order to repurpose the palette into a clutch handbag, the process is fairly simple. Not very difficult at all. Basically, all you need is some form of sharp object or tool or a small flathead screwdriver. First, insert the end of the metal paper clip or sharp object between the metal and the black plastic resin type material on the palette. simply wedge it between that area and lift. You should be able to pull the black hard plastic resin area of the palette up. There will be a little glue residue under there, however, it's fairly easy to lift it off and separate it from the gold metal tray. Next remove the inner eyeshadow black plastic resin tray completely. During this process be careful not to shatter any of the shadows of the eyeshadow palette. That's it! Once removed you can now use your pretty YSL palette gold metal with black chevron quilting as a beautiful handbag evening clutch. 

Now, it is very small for being a clutch. Items that may fit comfortably are some debit or credit cards, ID's, cash bills, a few sticks of gum. Mostly flat items. Round or larger items will not be able to fit. It will not be able to hold an iphone. Although this small clutch can not fit that much. I have to admit it is awfully pretty and it's a vibe. How cool is it to transform and repurpose your eyeshadow palette into a clutch? Very cool. 

Additionally, a YSL WOC or Chanel WOC can be pretty costly, and this gives you a very similar look at a more affordable price point. Most people will look at this lovely clutch when you're out to dinner and not even realize that it serves a multi-function as an eyeshadow palette. What a great deal.
