Health
In today's times, outside of my love for designer handbags, try to intake as much healthy food and drinks as possible, especially after the beginning of the 2020 pandemic. We have all gained a few extra pounds while working from home. Now that we are living in the new norm, this is a very easy, healthy smoothie recipe, made easily with a budget friendly Nutribullet Blender.
To make this healthy smoothie, you will need a few healthy supplies and ingredients. This is a simple easy recipe to help get you started.
Ingredients
- 1/2 banana
- 1/2 cup of spinach or kale (optional)
- 1 cup of almond milk or coconut water
- blueberries
- strawberries
- 1 teaspoon of sugar (optional)
- frozen pineapple or mango or any frozen fruit of your choice
Instructions
- Place the almond milk/coconut water in the NutriBullet blender.
- If using frozen fruit, this is where you would add to blender.
- If you would like to add some leafy greens, add the kale or spinach now. I chose to use kale.
- Add strawberries.
- Add blueberries.
- Add bananas.
- Blend the ingredients until smooth.
- Remove the blending pitcher from blender base.
- Check consistency of your smoothie. If too thick, you can reblend. If too smooth, add more ingredients.
- Pour smoothie into a glass or cup of your choice and enjoy this tasty, healthy mixture.
Blending
Using these ingredients are optional; you can customize your smoothie using many different ingredients such as oats and different fruits and vegetables to make it more filling. Remember to keep your smoothie healthy and not to add too much sugar, making the taste sweet but not overbearing.
Enjoy!
Any member of the family can enjoy this recipe, from the kids to the grandparents. #smoothie
